What Sets Me Apart
TrueField Sporting & Wildlife Consultancy is an independent consultancy service offering expert, practical advice to sporting estates, landowners, and conservation organisations throughout the UK and Europe. Drawing on over 15 years of professional sporting/conservation estate management experience, I blend traditional fieldcraft with contemporary, sustainable land management practices. My aim is to help clients maximise the potential of their land for both sport and wildlife.
This consultancy service is underpinned by extensive hands on expertise, including the management of lowland pheasant and partridge shoots across the UK from wild grey partridge projects through to grouse moor experience in the Scottish Highlands as well as English style run estates in Europe. It also includes large scale deer management operations across multiple estates.
I understand the complex challenges faced by modern sporting estates, from maintaining shoot standards and achieving conservation objectives to staff management and regulatory compliance. My solutions are clear, practical, and tailored to the unique requirements of each property.
Ben Stevens
With over 15 years’ experience as a professional gamekeeper, I have worked across a wide range of sporting estates throughout the south and north of England, managing large commercial pheasant and partridge shoots, alongside wild grey partridge conservation.
My career has also taken me to the Highlands of Scotland, working on driven grouse moors, and to a prestigious sporting estate in France. Across all roles, I have gained extensive hands-on experience in deer management, habitat improvement, and estate operations.
Outside of my professional work, I value time spent with my family and enjoy shooting, stalking, and hiking. I am also a proud member of the British Army Reserves, which has further developed my discipline, leadership, and commitment.
